Dr. Wendy Mehaffey D.C.
A board-certified chiropractic physician since 2004; holding a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan College.
Being a lifelong athlete, Dr. Wendy was naturally drawn towards the sports side of chiropractic care. She obtained her Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner certification in 2005.
She continued her post-graduate course work in 2017 with the International Federation of Sports Chiropractic, becoming certified as an International Sports Chiropractor. Currently, she partners with the University of Vermont, providing their athletes care.
Additionally, Dr. Mehaffey is one of only a few chiropractors in Vermont certified in Advanced Integrative Dry Needling, which helps with repairing tissue dysfunction and trigger points, making it a natural complement to care. Dr. Mehaffey also holds a Mathematics degree from St. Michael's College.
Jacob Bone D.C.
Dr. Jacob Bone received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College in 2019, with advanced certifications in Sports Science/Human Performance and Whole Food Nutrition. He is an Ohio native who graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition.
Dr. Jacob grew up playing every sport he could, which helped develop his lifelong passion for fitness. In his free time, you’ll find Dr. Bone in the gym or outside alongside his fiancée, Caitlin (who is also a chiropractor) and his two dogs!
Dr. Erik Vose D.C.
Dr. Vose treats patients for a range of conditions from sports injuries to chronic pain by focusing on the entire musculoskeletal system. He treats patients in the Middlebury and Burlington areas and has worked with Epic Wellness since early 2018.
Dr. Vose is also currently the Vice President of the Vermont Chiropractic Association and is dedicated to increasing access to chiropractic care for Vermonters as well as ensuring that the Chiropractic profession continues to gain relevance in the realm of healthcare by leading the health and wellness movement. When Erik isn’t on adventures with his wife and two young girls, he likes to spend his time on his mountain bike or snowboard and still aspires to be a drummer in a rock & roll band.
Laura Rice PHR
As Epic has grown over the last couple years, we have remained dedicated to providing excellent customer support. With that, Laura was brought on to form a new role with Epic Wellness in the fall of 2018 as Corporate Development Manager. Laura met the team at Epic Wellness as a corporate customer and quickly saw the advantage of offering onsite care.
Laura spent over 12 years working in Human Resources; starting as a recruiter and working her way up to HR manager. When Laura isn’t working, she can be found spending time with her husband and two kids outdoors or playing a board game. If not at work or with her family, you can usually find her working on her scrapbook or latest crafting adventure.
Sarah has been the Billing Manager at Epic Wellness and has been with the Epic Team since 2014. A local native, Sarah was born and raised in Jeffersonville, VT. She met her husband, Matt, while attending Saint Michael’s College. In 2007, she graduated with a degree in Business Administration.
She now resides in Fairfax with their three young children. Sarah is passionate about health, fitness and being outdoors. In her free time, when she isn’t chasing/chauffeuring her children around she enjoys a hot cup of coffee and catching up with friends.
Megan has been a Billing Specialist with the Epic Wellness team since 2015. She comes with 16 years of billing experience with the University of Vermont Medical Center. She specializes in Medicare and Medicaid billing. Anyone who can decipher government billing stands in a class of their own!
Megan is originally from New York, but happily calls Vermont home. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her two boys and husband. She loves camping, hiking or a day at the beach. She loves all that Vermont offers for outdoor activities.
